Clear writing for critical conversations

About me
Hi, I’m Amy! I’m a writer, editor, and content strategist passionate about telling stories that help communities learn, grow, and thrive. I specialize in thoughtful, engaging content that highlights the people, programs, and ideas making a real difference.
Most recently, I served as Executive Editor of Campus Safety magazine, a national publication and digital platform supporting K–12 schools, universities, and healthcare safety leaders. In that role, I helped shape the publication’s editorial strategy—planning coverage, identifying emerging topics, and developing content designed to inform and engage a professional audience.
My reporting has spanned a wide range of school safety and security topics, but what I find most meaningful is exploring the human side of those issues—student and staff wellness, leadership, policies and procedures, and the programs that support strong school and healthcare communities.
Although much of my experience is rooted in education and campus safety, the skills behind my work—clear communication, thoughtful strategy, and engaging storytelling—translate across many subjects and audiences. At the heart of what I do is creating content that informs, connects with readers, and helps organizations share their knowledge and expertise.
Portfolio
My portfolio highlights a range of work across news reporting, feature writing, interviews, research-driven articles, and multimedia content. I cover current events, translate complex topics into accessible insights, and collaborate with experts to bring important stories to life. From interviews and industry analysis to podcast conversations and timely news coverage, my work reflects a versatile approach to storytelling across formats.
